Stock.XCHNG - http://www.sxc.hu/ - High quality, totally free photos. To date 244759 photos

Flickr - http://www.flickr.com/ - A mixture of photos taken by amatuer and professional photographers. Not all photos are free to use; you need to look to see if the images are protected by Creative Commons and if they are free to use.

Background City - http://www.backgroundcity.com/ - background textures for web pages.

Absolute Background Textures Archive - http://www.grsites.com/textures/ - background textures and gradients.

Free Background Clipart images - http://www.fg-a.com/backgrounds.htm

Microsoft Clipart Online - http://office.microsoft.com/clipart/default.aspx?lc=en-us - Clipart and photos for use in your MS Office documents.

Barry's Clipart Server - http://www.barrysclipart.com/
